"I knew how to shoot and gear up for hunting but lacked the skills to scout deer. Mike taught me the knowledge to bag my first two deer (does)". Ken
"This is to thank you for a great day's hunting education. The course was well organized and covered all of the things that a new hunter needs to know in order to have a successful first hunt. The day started with identification of some suitable hunting locations, initial scouting and proceeded with sighting in of my rifle and a review of what gear is necessary to conduct a successful deer hunt, hunting techniques, and many more useful insights. I was also provided with some useful written guides to the sport of deer hunting. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning more about the sport of hunting deer." Neil
"I had been "hunting" for two seasons prior to calling Mike with no luck and no confidence in my ability to hunt successfully. I called Mike in August and by Christmas I had a freezer full of venison! Mike goes WAY beyond the State required "Hunter Safety Course" Call Mike and you will learn HOW to hunt, WHERE to hunt and what to do with your deer after the shot. Thanks again Mike" Keith
"As a Brit working for 3 years in the US, I wanted to have a go at a range of activities that, while possible back home, are much more restricted by regulations. Deer hunting was one of them; suitable rifles are hard to get permits for in UK and the deer population is much smaller. I spotted Mike's flyer; the day's activities looked good and I and a colleague met Mike for one of his training days. It was well-organized and no time was wasted - the drive west was spent talking about the deer's life-cycle and the sorts of things to look for when hunting. Mike was full of knowledge on the subject and provided a useful information pack, with a book and a video, to back up the words. This was followed by several different calibers of rifle, including a muzzle-loader, on a range up in the hills. The rest of the day was spent in different woodlands, looking at the signs we had spoken about earlier. We finished the day feeling well-prepared for our first hunting experience with Mike in the coming season. Overall, a very useful - and enjoyable - day." Jim
"I recently moved to Virginia and was interested in learning how to hunt deer. Since I did not grow up hunting, I wanted a thorough introduction to the sport at my level. I met Mike on a Saturday morning and we spent the whole day learning about deer habits, scouting properties, and even firing various rifles. As the sun was setting, we scouted more properties and saw at least 40 deer!!! Mike was very professional and answered all my questions including those needed to comply with Virginia's laws. I can't wait for hunting season to begin and the opportunity to take my first deer!" Chris |
